Parish Peace Doves 2025

The Parish Peace Doves is an opportunity for all in Keynsham to join together to create and participate in expressing personal messages of peace, hope and unity using the symbol of a white dove for all to see and admire. This artwork design was created by renowned artist and sculptor Peter Walker.

A display of Peace Doves will be facilitated by St John the Baptist Church Keynsham and in partnership with Keynsham Town Council to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day Celebrations in May 2025 with white card doves suspended in the Nave of St John’s and knitted doves suspended in the trees in the churchyard and from the church tower.

Resource packs for teachers will be circulated to all the schools so that children can participate in this amazing event.

Local shops will also be encouraged to create window displays of white card doves.

PLEASE RETURN YOUR CARD AND KNITTED DOVES BY MONDAY 14TH APRIL 2025 TO EITHER THE PARISH OFFICE OR KEYNSHAM TOWN COUNCIL OFFICE.
