Building the Future:  Update February 2025

Plans on track to get new heating in time for next winter 

 ·         The faculty for the new electricity supply to the church is already granted; work should be completed by Easter

·         The DAC Standing Committee reviewed our faculty application for a new radiant heating system this week, prior to consideration by the full DAC in March; so we hope to have the go-ahead by June  

·         We are already confident of much of the funding, and will seek more grants once the faculty is granted

·         Our back-up is to use funds set aside for the main “Building the Future” project, recognising the importance of delivering heating this winter

·         We hope soon to launch a 'Crowdfunding' campaign to attract wider support.  Anyone willing to help who has social media experience would be wonderful!

·         In the meantime, we have been busy talking with community groups about our plans for refreshing the interior of the church.  The responses have been uniformly positive and supportive

·         You have already supported us so well; but some people are asking if they could support us further. Any moneys donated will go towards the new heating system as a priority; any surplus will then go towards the wider BTF programme
