Christian Aid at christmas 2024

Shede was driven from her home and work in Sudan to a refugee camp in South Sudan.  She faces a daily challenge to guard her daughter Saida and granddaughter Marlem from hunger and malnutrition.

Keynsham Christian Aid’s gifts this Christmas will help people seeking refuge to buy nutritious meals, medicine, blankets and other essential supplies:

  • £10 could buy a 5kg bag of corn for filling meals for a family

  • £15 could buy a blanket, bringing comfort to a child far from home

  • £25 could buy a shirt supporting someone’s hygiene and dignity and protection them from the sun

  • £50 could pay for a wheelbarrow helping a community gather in their harvest.

Daniel Auyen was raised in Kauma Refugee Camp in Keyna.  He received help from people he’d never met.  He is now Food Security and Livelihoods Programme Manager at the Smile Again Africa Development Organisation, partnering with Christian Aid.  This support is a vital lifeline to Shede, Saida and Marlem, protecting them from malnutrition and ill-health.

Together we can help share comfort and joy this Christmas.
