Junior Choirs
We have two groups for young singers at St. John’s: Minims for those in year 1 or year 2, and choristers for those in year 3 and above. Find out more below.
Choristers
Singing, musical training and the opportunity to join a traditional robed choir for children in Year 3 and older

We sing with the adult choir at morning services twice a month (usually the 1st and 3rd Sundays) and senior choristers sing evensong with the adults on the 2nd Sunday and occasional services.
Our rehearsals are on Thursday evenings from 6:15-7pm, followed by choir club (snacks, games and social time) until 7:30.
The older choristers join the adult choir rehearsal 7:30-8pm.
Minims
Singing and musical activities for children in years 1 and 2
Email samshackleton@keynshamparish.org.uk to find out more
We meet on Thursdays during term time from 5:55pm to 6:25pm. We learn songs, play musical games and learn about music and singing.
We join the choristers for the start of their rehearsal to see what it’s like to be a chorister. Occasionally we sing with the choristers in church services.
Learn a skill for life
Through the Royal School of Music’s Voice for Life programme, choristers at St. John’s are immersed in an excellent standard of music education.
