St John's Choir

Open to all singers

We are very fortunate to have a high standard large SATB choir at St John's which is open to all singers. All ages from 7 upwards are welcome, music reading is helpful but not essential. If interested in joining contact Christopher Thomas on 07959583459 or christhomas@keynshamparish.org.uk.

The junior choir practice is on Friday evenings from 6.15-8.30pm. St.John's adult choir practice starts at 7.30-9.00pm. The choir sing regularly at the Sunday 9.30am services. There are also evensongs once a month and other occasional services, including visits to sing at cathedrals.

Special activities for juniors are arranged at Choir club on Fridays and Inquire during part of the 9.30 services.

Choir trips abroad
In 2001 the choir travelled to France and sang in Notre Dame, Paris and gave several concerts including one in Chartres Cathedral. In July 2007 the choir stayed in Ghent, Belgium. They sang in Ypres Cathedral and at the Menin Gate.  In 2011, the choir visited Germany's Rhineland and sang in Cologne Cathedral and a concert in Bad Ems. The choir traveled to Holland in July 2015 to give three concerts in Noordwijk, Delft and Amsterdam - click on the  following link to for a selection of photos.  

They have produced several CDs, most recently "Love came down at Christmas".
